Cooking Mama (New)

Delightfully original title based on the PSX import extravaganza 'Ore no Ryouri.' Takes the Wii controller to new heights of usefulness as it slices, chops and whisks away in the kitchen of the apron-ed Mama. Thankfully there aren't too many spuds to peel as budding chefs get set a variety of mini tasks to be successfully completed within the time limit in order to make the dish and attain domestic nirvana. So cooks will be cracking eggs, chopping meat or slicing vegetables with a deft flick of the wrist. The main character is very well done looking like the ideal domesticated mother in her cooking uniform. Two player mode is the icing on the cake putting any of these reality cooking programmes to shame as the heat builds in the kitchen. Subtitled in Japanese 'Minna to issho ni Oryouri Taikai.'
