Battle Garegga

Infamous WWII themed Saturn shmup that runs rings around many of the opposition despite the platforms bountiful riches when it comes to shooters. Unapologetically hardcore with fine attention to detail in the falling shrapnel. You'll need a fine eye though to see the projectiles wizzing towards the plane. The World War Two setting makes a pleasant change from sci-fi scenrio's but perhaps pleasant isn't the right word for Garegga’s gruelling levels. Clever use of the ships speed to control the scrolling is another feature that makes Garegga's sheen sparkle more brilliantly than the opposition. Unfortunately released as the Saturn was running low on fuel meaning a low print run and a hard to find game.
